What We
Do
Ravalli Early Head Start (REHS) provides low-income prenatal mothers
and families of children birth to age 3 with enhanced knowledge and
skills in child development, health, safety, and nutrition education, as
well as providing social service connections and parent involvement
opportunities. Ravalli Early Head Start delivers these services to
families by fully implementing the Federal Head Start performance
standards and following best practices in early childhood development.
As a result of enhanced knowledge, skills, and opportunities, children
will be more attached to their parents, families will access more
community resources, and families will be active in the program and
community. Through our programs, parents feel joy in their children,
understand their child’s behavior, have knowledge of early childhood in
respect to the whole child, utilize community resources for their
personal growth and development, and actively participate in their
child’s education. Children will grow and develop in healthy, safe, and
stimulating environments providing them with opportunities to create
strong connections to their parents and to feel healthy, happy, and
safe.
