Home based

The Home-based option is designed for families who have the abilities to spend time at home with their child. This option focuses on child development and parent-child interaction through weekly home-visits by a Case Manager. Parents/guardians also come together two times per month at Ravalli Early Head Start for a Parent-Child Interaction group to play with their children, discuss child development and share a meal.

Prenatal

The Prenatal option is designed to offer as-needed weekly home visits on health, wellness & nutrition and one monthly group session at the Center for pregnant mothers. Babies transition into the Home-based option and are eligible to apply for a transition to the Center-based program at 6 weeks old.

Center based

The Center-based option provides full-day child care services and parent involvement activities for 16 children and their families. Center-based families have two home visits and two information-sharing meeting with their Infant/Toddler Teacher each year. Families must be working or in school 30 hours per week to qualify for the Center-based option.

We have 16 Center-based spaces and the waitlist can be competitive.  Families in our Home-based program receive addition points when on the waitlist for Center, therefore we encourage families to apply for our Home-based program when seeking a space in Center.
